Directions

  1. 1. Brown beef and pork well; transfer to slow cooker.
  2. 2. Cook onion, carrots, and celery until softened. Add garlic and tomato paste, cook briefly, then deglaze with wine.
  3. 3. Transfer to slow cooker with crushed tomatoes, milk, salt, pepper, and bay leaf.
  4. 4. Cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours.
  5. 5. Remove bay leaf, adjust seasoning, and toss with sturdy pasta.
